Zeekr reached its 200,000th production unit of the 7X electric SUV on 8 September 2026, nearly two years after mass production began. The company will introduce a 2027 model year variant in Q4 2026 featuring an 85 kWh Aegis Golden Brick battery pack and updated colour options.
Zeekr, Geely's dedicated electric vehicle division, reached a production milestone of 200,000 units of the 7X on 8 September 2026, nearly two years after the model entered mass production. The figure represents vehicles that have completed manufacturing, regardless of customer delivery completion status. By July 2026, cumulative global 7X deliveries had approached 180,000 units, with over 136,000 delivered in China.
The 2027 model year 7X will feature a new 85 kWh battery from Geely's proprietary Aegis Golden Brick series, manufactured at the company's Quzhou facility. The pack replaces the entry-level 75 kWh LFP battery, which delivers up to 620 km under the CLTC testing cycle. Zeekr has not yet disclosed complete homologated range data for the 85 kWh variant; however, industry expectations suggest achievement of more than 700 km under CLTC conditions.
The Aegis Golden Brick battery incorporates integrated thermal-runaway protection and carries a claimed service life of 1,000,000 km and 3,500 charging cycles. The refreshed 7X arrives in Q4 2026 with new exterior and interior colour selections alongside an optional equipment package valued at 18,999 yuan, comprising power-adjustable rear seats, integrated refrigerator and 20-inch alloy wheels.
The 7X remains built on Geely's SEA platform, featuring a 370 kW single-motor rear configuration and dual-motor AWD systems producing up to 585 kW. July 2026 domestic deliveries reached 10,253 units, rebounding from 7,345 in June. The 7X competes directly against Tesla Model Y, Nio Onvo L60 and XPeng G6 within China's 200,000–300,000 yuan market segment, with export availability across more than 50 countries and regions.
